You can count on it
With its eponymous electricity transformer meter, the US company eGauge offers a wide range of options for optimizing energy consumption and protecting against hidden consumers.

Technologically advanced energy monitoring systems at affordable prices – that is what eGauge Systems LLC has to offer. The goal of the US company, based in Boulder, Colorado, is to enable its customers to reduce energy consumption and costs by providing highly accurate data and real-time visualization tools.
The eGauge, a current transformer meter, is at the center of the marketing strategy. It can measure the power of individual circuits in a control cabinet using sensors called current transformers (CTs). In addition, the meter displays real-time energy data on a website. Users can watch the consumption charts update by the second and find out which consumers are having a particularly negative impact on the electricity bill.
But eGauge itself also monitors for unexpected energy patterns and reports these by email. Excessive use of devices, unexpected consumption fees, the failure of the photovoltaic system or other costly problems are reliably detected and reported without the need to pay subscription fees. These alerts are user-definable and can be triggered at virtually any threshold.
