Exhibitors & Products

Innovation. Creativity. Entrepreneurial spirit. Courage to travel a different path. We value startups for exactly these qualities, and these are exactly the qualities you will find at the special display Young Tech Enterprises at the world’s leading tradeshow for industrial technology.

Located in Hall 17 at the center of the automation and robotics halls, Young Tech Enterprises unifies the startup scene at the exhibition center. Due to the annually increasing demand, in 2018 there are two satellites: one in Hall 19/20 for young companies from the intralogistics and supply chain management sector and one in Hall 27 for founders from the energy branch.

A glance at the exhibitors shows the entrepreneurial spirit of the founder scene within the industrial landscape. Insider Navigation Systems from Vienna demonstrates its augmented reality solution for indoor navigation, which is hardware-independent and enables precise 3D positioning, intuitive navigation and location-based AR-content. The solution can be used in facilities such as factories, office buildings, airports, and train stations.

Otego, a spin-off of the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology (KIT), presents its thermoelectric generators (TEGs) for energy harvesting. TEGs make batteries redundant, in that they supply small IoT and sensor applications with energy from nearby heat sources. Possible uses range from process monitoring to electronic radiator thermostats.

drag&bot from Stuttgart shows its web-based software for easy graphical programming of industrial robots, which enables untrained workers to use robots in production without having special robotics or IT experience.

The Startup-Pitches@Young Tech Enterprise excite the audience daily. Forty young firms present their ideas concisely to a jury. "The pitches are not only about prize money, but also potential investors, customers, partners and media awareness," explains Sascha Schubert from the German Startups Association (BVDS), executive partner of Young Tech Enterprises.

"Young Tech Enterprises is an exciting meeting point for startups, support networks and incubators as well as for big exhibitors and investors," says Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director Sales & Operations, HANNOVER MESSE. "Visitors and participants can look forward to exciting and informative talks, pitches, workshops, and matchmaking events."

Network partners include the Thüringen Center for Startups and Entrepreneurship, the startup offices of Rheinland-Pfalz, Sachsen’s innovation platform futureSAX, and numerous Fraunhofer institutes.
