Hannover. The MDA Executive Committee made two important changes to its lineup at its meeting on 19 November 2015. The Committee, which has broad representation from Germany’s power transmission and control industry and key input into the overall direction of HANNOVER MESSE’s MDA show, elected as its new chairman Mr. Christian Kienzle, CEO of the ARGO-HYTOS Group. Having served for many years as the Chairman of the Power Transmission Association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), Kienzle brings to the job valuable inside knowledge both of his industry and of the MDA show. "MDA is the world’s leading trade show for the power transmission and fluid power industry, featuring over 1,100 exhibitors from all around the globe. It owes this success in large measure to the highly constructive teamwork that takes place under the auspices of the MDA Executive Committee," remarked Kienzle.

The MDA Executive Committee also gained a new member at the meeting – Dr. Stefan Spindler, who is CEO Industrial at Schaeffler AG. Dr. Spindler is a proven industry expert with a profound understanding of the international trade fair business. "An international showcase like MDA is important to the power transmission and fluid power industry’s ability to compete on the world stage. I am looking forward to working on the MDA Executive Committee and thus helping to collaboratively shape and position our industry using Deutsche Messe’s MDA events worldwide," said Spindler.

MDA (Motion, Drive & Automation) is staged at HANNOVER MESSE in alternate years and is the leading trade show for the power transmission and control industry. It is organized by Deutsche Messe AG with the support of the Power Transmission Association within the German Engineering Federation (VDMA). With over 1,100 exhibitors and about 80,000 visitors from all around the world, it is one of HANNOVER MESSE’s main visitor attractions. In addition to MDA in Hannover, Germany, Deutsche Messe organizes MDA events in key growth markets around the world. These include PTC ASIA in Shanghai, MDA INDIA in Delhi, MDA NORTH AMERICA in Chicago, and WIN (World of Industry) in Istanbul.
