Hannover, Germany. Running from 3 to 5 May, the International Energy & Environment Fair and Conference (ICCI) – Turkey's biggest annual energy event – has a new partner. Up to now it was produced in Istanbul solely by Hannover Fairs Turkey, a member of the Deutsche Messe Group of Companies. In January 2017 PennWell International, a subsidiary of the U.S.-based PennWell Corporation, acquired a 50 percent stake in the event and will now be advertising ICCI under the ancillary slogan of "Powered by POWER-GEN".

ICCI has been staged in Istanbul for more than 20 years. Last year 285 exhibitors appeared on net display space of 7,000 square meters. The event, which drew 14,000 visitors from 21 nations, is a showcase for products and solutions for all sectors of the energy industry, including wind and solar energy as well as biomass, combined heat and power generation and energy efficiency.

"We have acquired a strong partner in PennWell. Putting our international expertise to work, we can expand ICCI and advertise it far beyond the borders of Turkey. We are thus ensuring the long-term success of ICCI and are well-positioned for the future," remarks Benjamin Low, Global Director of Energy at Deutsche Messe. Glenn Ensor, Managing Director of PennWell International adds: "Thanks to our cooperation with Deutsche Messe and Hannover Fairs Turkey, we will be able to offer our clients access to the growing Turkish energy market. Together with these partners, we will be providing our international energy sector clients with an outstanding level of exhibition service."

Apart from ICCI, Deutsche Messe also produces additional energy trade fairs in international markets, including CANWEA and SOLAR CANADA , both staged in Canada, as well as Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA , which runs in Las Vegas. All of these tradeshows are derivatives from the Energy trade fair which takes place annually under the HANNOVER MESSE umbrella – with 1,200 exhibitors, the world's biggest energy technology trade fair.
