Hannover, Germany. This coming April, the eighth consecutive Engineer Powerwoman award will be presented by Deutsche Messe. The award is worth

€ 5,000 and will go to a woman whose outstanding commitment, ideas and/or technical prowess have made a major contribution to advancing her employer's organization. Nominations are being accepted from companies and organizations based in Germany and abroad, with only one nominee allowed per company. The deadline for applications is 11 February 2020.

The award ceremony will be on 24 April 2020, during the opening event for the WomenPower careers congress. Applications are free of charge. The 2020 Engineer Powerwoman will be selected by an independent jury composed of members of the Congress Advisory Committee. Application forms are available at www.womenpower-kongress.de .

The winner of the 2019 Engineer Powerwoman was Kenza Ait Si Abbou Lyadini, Senior Manager of Robotics & Artificial Intelligence (Al) at Deutsche Telekom IT GmbH. She is responsible for ensuring that the different sections within the company are fit for digitalization. This involves advising staff and developing the best automation and artificial intelligence solutions. She promotes knowledge transfer in the field of robotics and AI solutions within her company and beyond, placing particular emphasis on diversity and inclusiveness in the development of AI applications.
