Hannover. On April 3, Marie-Josée Turgeon was presented with the Engineer Woman Award at the opening ceremony of the FEMWORX Careers Congress. This prestigious award is presented annually by Deutsche Messe at HANNOVER MESSE to an outstanding female expert in the natural science disciplines.

Dr. Kathrin Rüschenschmidt, Director Innovation Process & Project Management Office at Emerson and member of the FEMWORX Advisory Board, presented the award in person. An independent jury from the FEMWORX Congress Advisory Board selected Turgeon for her outstanding achievements in the fields of production, microelectronics, and process optimization.

With almost 30 years of experience in the industry, Marie-Josée Turgeon has made a significant contribution to innovation in microelectronics as President and CEO of C2MI. She has successfully promoted lean manufacturing and process optimizations, significantly increasing productivity. Her strategic vision has been recognized by numerous awards for C2MI, including the Great Mention of the Performance Quebec Awards 2021 and the Gold Award 2022. In addition to her leadership role, she is involved in various committees, including chairing the Research Ethics Committee at Cégep de Granby and as a member of the Canadian Semiconductor Council.

FEMWORX – Careers Congress for Women in Industry
