Hannover, Germany. The addition of "Building Energy Technology" to the themes covered at the Energy trade fair within HANNOVER MESSE has been announced. The focus will be on building services and building technology for office and production buildings. "Our Energy trade fair offers producers of building technology and service providers an excellent platform for presenting their products and solutions at the world's most important industrial trade fair. There are numerous opportunities here to make direct contact with decision-makers from industry," reports Benjamin Low, Global Director of Energy at Deutsche Messe.

The Building Energy Technology display sector will revolve around the efficient use of energy in non-residential buildings when it comes to new construction, building conversion or renovation projects. Products and services for improved energy efficiency involving electricity, heating, cooling, flow media and smart system technologies like photovoltaics, solar thermal energy, mini-wind, lighting, heating boilers, heat pumps, storage tanks, insulating materials, air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as building automation will all be on display. The new thematic focus forms an ideal complement to the other Energy topics; the display sector will be located in Hall 27, directly adjacent to the "Decentralized Energy Supply" offerings.

The non-commercial sponsor of the new display segment is the association for construction and building services within the Association of German Engineers (VDI).

Around 92,000 trade visitors (34 percent from abroad) came to Energy 2017, including 28,000 from industry, 27,000 from the energy sector, 9,000 from the service sector, 6,500 from retailing and 4,500 from the construction industry.
