Hannover, Germany. The energy revolution and rapid advances made by digitization are changing the business models of energy suppliers and municipal utilities. Companies are confronted by new challenges in the face of increasing cost pressures, while progressive digitization opens up new opportunities and business models for utilities. Deutsche Messe is responding to these trends by staging the first-ever "Util:IT" group pavilion as part of the Energy fair held under the umbrella of HANNOVER MESSE in Hannover, Germany. Divided into the subcategories of electricity, gas, heating and water, the pavilion’s focus will be on the digitization of utilities and the energy industry. Visitors can find out all the latest on state-of-the-art IT and communications infrastructure as well as on measuring and control technology and IT security. Other key topics to be covered will include the Internet of Things (IoT), smart meters and data management and billing.

The Util:IT pavilion will be located in Hall 13, in direct proximity to the "Life Needs Power" forum. "This new display sector is a token of our support for energy suppliers, municipal utilities and network operators as they embark along the path to the digital future," reports Benjamin Low, Global Energy Director at HANNOVER MESSE.
