Hannover. The award-winning project is a magnetic identification solution as an alternative to optically readable codes and RFID tags. The ID tag is applied beneath a non-magnetic protective layer and integrated into the respective product. This integration can be done by welding, vulcanization or injection. The robustness of the data carriers in terms of thermal and chemical resistance is a particular advantage in industrial applications, as it means that production equipment can be automatically identified and logged. In addition, the product provides dependable protection against plagiarism.
