  • Engineer Powerwoman award to be presented at WoMenPower conference in Hannover, Germany, on 29 April
  • Hannover. Every year, Deutsche Messe presents the "Engineer Powerwoman" career achievement award to a woman who has made a mark or played a key role in innovation within a company through her dedication, ideas or work in the fields of science, technology, IT, engineering or mathematics. In 2016, the award will be presented during WoMenPower, a conference that Deutsche Messe has been running on the final day of HANNOVER MESSE for more than 10 years. The application deadline for the 2016 award is 22 March 2016.

Applications are open to companies and organizations exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE 2016 and, for the very first time, to partners in Germany’s nationwide "KOMM MACH MINT" initiative to attract women into STEM professions ("MINT" is the German equivalent of STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math). Each of these companies and organizations can nominate one female candidate. Application is free of charge. The 2016 Engineer Powerwoman will be selected by an independent jury made up of members of the WoMenPower Conference Advisory Committee. The application documents are available for download at www.womenpower-kongress.de .
