Interested Party Call for Papers

What is the Call for Papers?

Any company or speaker with a topic which falls within the scope of HANNOVER MESSE 2020 can apply to give a presentation. From the beginning of November 2019, you will find a detailed list of topics to which contributions can be submitted here.

When can I apply?

The official Call for Papers begins in mid-November and ends on 31 January 2020. Please fill out the relevant form to have your presentation considered.

How do I apply?

To apply, simply fill out the Call for Papers form, which will be available here from mid-November. You’ll receive your login data for the “Daily Fair REF” online speaker’s form for the thematically appropriate forum by e-mail within 24 hours (on workdays). (Sender’s address: hannovermesse.dailyfair@messe.de)

The following information is required for us to be able to evaluate the presentation:
First/last name, job function, company, presentation title in English and German (max. 100 characters each, incl. spaces), a short abstract (max. 900 characters incl. spaces in English and, if possible, German).

Please refrain from submitting any presentations with a commercial, advertising character.

Do I need to be an exhibitor at HANNOVER MESSE 2020?

Generally, yes, but there are a few exceptions: presentations submitted by startups, research institutes, universities and public institutions or authorities, which however also need to take part in the application process.

You are not an exhibitor yet? Please find some information about attractive possibilities to participate right here .

Are any costs associated with the Call for Papers?

Submitting a presentation for consideration is free of charge. For companies not exhibiting at HANNOVER MESSE 2020, there is an obligatory charge per accepted presentation starting at €1,990 (plus statutory German VAT). The participation packages will be available here from mid-September.

When will I be informed as to whether my presentation has been accepted?

The selection process takes time. Our jury members and other partners will evaluate the submitted papers during the period from the end of January to mid-February 2020. You will then be notified in writing as to whether your paper has been accepted.

Can I still make any major changes to my presentation content after acceptance?

No. Substantial changes to the content of a presentation are not permitted. Minor content updates must be sent to hannovermesse.dailyfair@messe.de , as subsequent changes in “Daily Fair REF” are not possible. You can, however, update your speaker’s profile at any time.

In which language should the lecture be held?

You can deliver your presentation in German or English, depending on the countries your target audience comes from.

What is the timeframe for my presentation?

Generally speaking, a presentation should last from 15 to 20 minutes, including questions from the audience.

Are you an exhibitor and do you organise your own events at your stand?

The publication of your event programme will ensure more visitors to your stand. Enter the data in the event database (DailyFair) free of charge from mid-January - link will follow.

I still have questions that are not answered here. What can I do?

We’re happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Just send us an e-mail at hannovermesse.dailyfair@messe.de or give us a call.
