Opening Ceremony

The Opening Ceremony of the HANNOVER MESSE will take place Sunday, 31 March 2019, at 6 PM at the Hannover Congress Center (HCC). Within the scope of the formal launch event, the attendance of leading representatives from the industry and politics are expected.

Among the Opening Ceremonies' 2,500 invited guests numerous prestigious politicians, more than 100 CEOs of the leading industrial corporations, as well as about 300 international Media representatives are expected.

Last year’s partner country Mexico has been represented by the President of the United Mexican States H. E. Enrique Peña Nieto, who attended the Opening Ceremony. Jointly with the Chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto inaugurated the world’s leading trade show for industrial technology.
