Automation & Smart Manufacturing
Automation & Smart Manufacturing addresses the key challenges of modern manufacturing: stabilizing processes, ensuring quality, reducing downtime, and making production systems more adaptable. The exhibition area showcases technologies that directly integrate into industrial processes, ranging from the control of individual machines to the optimization of entire production environments.
Where Production Technology meets Demand
Embedded within the overall framework of HANNOVER MESSE, the cross-sector connections are strong: robotics and automation meet drive technology and linear systems, while measurement and sensor technology intersects with industrial software and AI platforms. Showcase your solutions in a unique ecosystem of industrial transformation.
You’ll reach trade visitors with specific needs for increased productivity, process stability, quality assurance, and automation—and gain additional opportunities to connect with decision-makers and end users from related fields.

Special Displays
The Application Park offers you a unique trade fair experience at HANNOVER MESSE. With its clear focus on robotics, logistics and automation and its "all-round carefree packages", the Application Park is the ideal platform for an uncomplicated introduction to HANNOVER MESSE.
The three nominees for the ROBOTICS AWARDS also present their submitted solutions here.
Production Technology for Defense
With Production Technology for Defense – in cooperation with DSEI GERMANY – HANNOVER MESSE offers a presentation platform for companies in the security and defense industry. Insights will be provided into how modern production technology - in particular automation, digitalization and data integration - meets the requirements of safety-critical production. Show your know-how and be part of the Defense Production Area.
In times of increasing digitization, systems embedded in the production line are becoming increasingly important. Embedded systems are essential to process data and signals reliably. With the new Embedded Park, HANNOVER MESSE is creating a home for the embedded community. From edge computing, embedded vision, software solutions, components and modules to electronic displays, here you have the opportunity to present your latest products and technologies across all industries.
HANNOVER MESSE brings together photonics and laser technologies with the industrial applications of tomorrow
From laser systems for cutting, welding and marking, through optical measurement technology, image processing and sensor technology, to photonics-based solutions for automation, digitalisation and quality control – at Photonics Park, you can experience the technologies that will shape industrial processes in the future. Unlike at specialized trade shows, photonics, lasers, and optical technologies are not viewed in isolation at HANNOVER MESSE, but are presented - in close collaboration with the PhotonicNet innovation network—as interconnected cross-cutting technologies spanning the entire industrial value chain.
Predictive Maintenance & Machine Learning are key technologies for improving efficiency, reliability and competitiveness in industry. More and more plant operators are adopting intelligent, data-driven solutions and searching for innovative products, services and partners at HANNOVER MESSE .
The Predictive Maintenance & Machine Learning Pavilion provides the ideal platform to showcase your solutions to an international audience of industry professionals and is located right next to the Pavilion Embedded Park . Take advantage of the strong synergies between these two topics.
Industry is undergoing a transformation: Connected, intelligent production is now the key to competitiveness. Sensors play a central role in this development – acting as the sensory organs of artificial intelligence by capturing, processing, and integrating data into digital processes in real time. Only through smart sensor technology is the intelligent networking of industrial operations made possible, introducing new demands on technologies and systems. The new Solution Center for Smart Sensorics and Measurement Technology ensures maximum visibility in this forward-looking field. At HANNOVER MESSE, Automation & Sensor Technology ranks among the top three areas of visitor interest – right after Industry 4.0 and Artificial Intelligence.
Take advantage of this opportunity and favorable conditions to participate in the world's most important industrial trade fair. The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) is promoting participation in the group pavilion "Young Innovators" at HANNOVER MESSE.
The Requirements
Beneficiaries are legally independent, young, innovative companies with new product and process developments that:
The costs invoiced by the trade fair organizer for stand rental and stand construction within the framework of the group pavilion are eligible for funding. An exhibitor exhibiting at the BMWE joint stand will receive a maximum of 60% of the expenses (stand rental/stand construction) back.
Applications can be submitted using the online application form provided by the BAFA. General information on funding, etc. is available on the BAFA website .
