The Decide4ECO project focuses on analyzing and assessing sustainability requirements and achieving sustainability goals. As resource consumption is largely determined in the early stages of product planning and development, the project focuses on this by developing digital solutions for decision support in product development and production with a focus on sustainability criteria.
The assessment aims to consider the entire value chain and product life cycle. Data exchange along supply chains will be implemented based on common standards within Manufacturing-X. As part of the project, open interfaces and standards will be developed to support this approach. Within the shared data ecosystem, a standardized Digital Product Passport will be created and enriched with additional information. The resulting software solutions for sustainability assessment will integrate all relevant upstream and downstream processes and will be further enhanced with predictive, AI-based impact analyses.
