The current challenges facing society in terms of energy supply require us to reduce emissions, make greater use of renewable energies and utilise energy efficiently. As an institute of the German Aerospace Centre (DLR), we contribute to this with our research in Stuttgart, Cologne-Porz, Ulm, Oldenburg and Hamburg. We focus on key technologies for energy storage and conversion such as fuel cells, electrolysers, batteries and heat storage for industrial applications. These play a decisive role in our energy supply and have a direct impact on competitiveness and prosperity. In addition to energy topics, we also work on topics in the fields of aviation, aerospace and transport together with the DLR Institute for Vehicle Concepts we exhibit in hall 11 E22. The Institute for Vehicle Concepts conducts research into future road and rail vehicles that enable climate-friendly and environmentally sustainable mobility while also being affordable and user-friendly.
