The Competence Centre on climate change mitigation in energy-intensive industries (KEI) advises, promotes and connects companies in Germany on the subject of greenhouse gas reduction.
As a project sponsor and advice center, KEI supports companies in the process of converting to climate-neutral production. The BIK funding program supports climate-friendly investment, research, development and innovation projects.
As a think tank, KEI identifies research needs, addresses social issues in the context of industrial transformation and makes knowledge on industrial decarbonization visible across all sectors.
In addition, KEI operates the National Contact Point (NCP) EU Innovation Fund, which advises and supports companies on issues relating to the program.
As a networker, KEI operates the coordination office of the Cluster Decarbonization in Industries (CDI) and thus supports industry in the transformation process as a source of ideas and multiplier.
