Founded in 1970, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) is the foremost non-profit trade and investment promotion organization in Taiwan. Jointly sponsored by the government and various commercial and industrial associations, TAITRA helps Taiwan's business enterprises reinforce their international competitiveness as well as cope with the challenges they face in the global markets.
TAITRA has developed a well-coordinated trade promotion and information network composed of over 1,200 trained specialists stationed at its headquarters in Taipei, in four local branch offices in Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung, as well as In over 60 representative offices around the world.
In association with its sister organizations, the Taiwan Trade Center, Inc. (TTC) and the Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC), TAITRA has created a wealth of trade opportunities through effective promotion strategies.
