Ziehl-Abegg is one of the leading international companies in the field of ventilation, control and drive technology. Examples of areas of application for its products include heating and cooling systems, clean rooms and agricultural facilities. Another area is electric motors, which provide drive power in lifts and medical applications, for example.
The high-tech company impresses with its high level of innovation. Ziehl-Abegg employs 3,000 people in production plants in southern Germany. The company has a global workforce of 5,800 employees. These are spread across 17 production plants, 30 companies and 114 sales locations worldwide. The approximately 30,000 items are sold in more than 100 countries. Sales amount to a good 1 billion euros. Emil Ziehl founded the company in Berlin in 1910 as a manufacturer of electric motors. After the Second World War, the company headquarters was moved to southern Germany. Ziehl-Abegg SE is not listed on the stock exchange and is family-owned.
