What’s the issue?
In order to develop teleoperation applications more efficiently and safely, consistently low latencies and high data speeds are required. The development of 6G innovations in this project always relates to a certain application or test field; in this case, the precise and stable remote control of robot systems.
What’s the idea?
The robotics application presented here is controlled remotely and monitored via a video stream. If the communication channel becomes impaired, AI-based mechanisms within the 6G network take effect. This allows the application to run robustly and reliably, even under difficult conditions.
What potential does it offer?
The 6G technologies that have been developed allow automated robotic systems to be controlled remotely and safely in critical situations. For example, if a critical situation in production, logistics or during rescue and relief operations cannot be managed autonomously. The AI methods used meet high standards and need significantly fewer resources than established methods.
