For the industrial market, FOMAS Group provides solutions for Transmission Systems such as bearings and gears for wind, railway, industrial equipment, automotive, earth moving, naval and cranes, as well as other components (as structural and connecting elements, molds, cutters, semiclosed die, etc.) for undercarriage, tunneling, hydraulic presses, metal forming tooling, HVAC, and Naval sector.
FOMAS Group manufactures different dimension range of rolled rings. Thanks to its experience it can produce components with a diameter from 100 up to 7000 mm, a height from 25 to 1250 mm and a weight from 1 kg up to 20 tons.
The exceptional combination of technical know-how (various lines, some of those completely robotized; Heat treatment in-house, turning operations on demand; precision machining to provide clients with custom-made products) and complete familiarity with delicate logistical issues concerning "Just-in-Time" manufacturing is one of the Group’s strengths.
FOMAS Group’s open-die forgings can reach a diameter of 5,5 m, a length of 18 m and a weight of 125 ton. They are processed in smaller or larger presses depending on the contours and size thanks to our in-house presses equipped with integrated manipulators: 12500-ton, 6000-ton, 3500-ton (n. 2) and 2000-tons.
Finally, the in-house ESR (Electro Slag Remelting plant) assures top quality remelting of special steels.
