The intelligent ALX-4GS gateway was developed to be a multipurpose gateway with connections to devices using RS-232/RS-485 and/or ETHERNET communication standards. It can communicate with up to 8 (eight) different devices connected through 'virtual drivers' available in the 'cloud' and selected by the user.
The ALX-4GS was developed using a state-of-the-art IoT (Internet of Things) processor, equipped with multiple processing cores capable of simultaneously executing various functionalities, without performance reduction.
The GNSS built-in module, unlike traditional modules location, operates with the 3 main available satellite networks (GPS, Glonass and Galileo) allowing to perform gateway geolocation according to programming.
Using the MQTT communication protocol, the ALX-4GS allows connection to a remote Broker using wired ETHERNET, Wi-Fi, and 4G cellular networks, all connected simultaneously. This enables the gateway to automatically switch to another available network in case of failure of one network, minimizing signal failure problems.
Via wired ETHERNET network, it's possible to configure the gateway to function as a master in a MODBUS TCP/IP network to communicate with slave devices, while simultaneously using the same connection to connect the gateway to the internet for sending data to an MQTT Broker.
The communication channel MOBILE allows connection to cellular network using 4G technology and, using a multi-carrier chip, ALX-4GS is able to automatically choose the best carrier (best signal) available at its installation location.
The programming and monitoring of the ALX-4GS gateway data can be performed locally using a mobile APP installed on cell phones or tablets, and remotely through an MQTT Broker.
The ALX family gateway-4GS in addition to incorporating digital and analog inputs and outputs, also has the option to be expanded with additional modules according to the application monitoring needs
