The management consultancy ROI Management Consulting and the magazine “ Produktion ” honor outstanding digitization projects in industry with the Industry 4.0 Award once a year. Busch-Jaeger Elektro GmbH from Lüdenscheid won the award in the “ Smart Supply Chain Management ” category this time around. The electrical installation technology manufacturer has come up with an automated process for the production of its KNX glass sensor Busch-tacteo that allows the company to respond to individual customer requests despite series production.
Automotive supplier Bosch received the award in the “ Smart Factory ” category. The company developed a self-learning system that monitors the production of ABS systems. It recognizes patterns on the basis of collected data and can thus distinguish error messages that occur due to start-up effects from actual errors in component production. The analysis model is updated in an ongoing and fully automatic manner.
