With more than 280 registered main and co-exhibitors, Digital Factory 2016 is larger than ever before. The original location in Hall 7 for the leading trade show for integrated processes and IT solutions is just not big enough. "Along with the growing number of new exhibitors, our long-term exhibitors want to enlarge their space, making it necessary for us to expand," explains Arno Reich, Manager of Digital Factory.
Renowned CAD and PLM providers such as Autodesk, Dassault and Siemens are therefore moving into Hall 6 . Major companies in the industry such as Eplan, IGE-XAO, WSCAD, ISD and Aucotec along with U.S. companies with group pavilions on space totaling 240 square meters and many others complete the portfolio. The CAE Forum can also be found now in Hall 6. Another positive result of the expansion into Hall 6 is the proximity to Industrial Supply areas in Halle 6 as well as reinforcing the link that already exists to Industrial Automation in Hall 8. The new design will be marked visually both in Hall 6 and Hall 7.
For Dr. Daniel Holz, Head of Sales, Manufacturing & Automotive and Member of the Executive Board at SAP Deutschland the expansion expresses the central importance of IT in the user industry. "The steadily growing number of exhibitors proves that the issue of digitalization has arrived for the duration in electrical and mechanical engineering as well as the manufacturing industry," says Holz.
