Taking a holistic approach to mobility concepts, vehicle systems, energy generation and digitalization - this is the goal of the New Mobility Paderborn (NeMo Paderborn) initiative, which brings together more than 70 network partners under the leadership of Paderborn University.
At the heart of NeMo Paderborn is the development and implementation of a swarm-like mobility system. Hubs are set up at central hubs as mobility-energy interfaces. Journeys are made individually as required, without interruptions and without changing vehicles from the starting point to the destination.
This concept will ensure a high level of acceptance among passengers. The region is ideally suited because more renewable electricity is generated here than is consumed. In addition, intensive cooperation between local authorities, companies and universities is common practice. Paderborn is thus becoming a role model for mobility in Germany.
