The AULA-KI project develops AI-based solutions to ensure reliable localization for autonomous vehicles, even under challenging weather conditions such as rain, snow, fog, or vegetation on the road. Adverse weather and failures in external localization—such as satellite navigation or cellular connectivity—can disrupt autonomous operations. To address this, reliable AI-driven methods are being developed to detect and mitigate weather-related issues. If the compensation is impossible swarm-based localization will exploit surrounding vehicles and the environment, ensuring safe and uninterrupted vehicle operation at any time and in any environment.
At the same time, the project lays the foundation towards a new AI research group at OvGU and ifak e.V., dedicated to develop and advance reliable AI methods for industrial applications.
We are looking for partners for a follow-up project. Feel free to reach out via the link below. We look forward to meeting you at Hannover Messe in Hall 2, Stand C16!
